We are Ian & Janette and have been looking after the Glendower since June 2020. We decided it was time for a change and gave up our commute and our full time jobs and moved from Epsom in Surrey to Torbay. We really enjoy looking after our guests and it is now our business to make sure you get as much out of your stay in Torquay and the beautiful English Riviera as we have.. We can recommend and book restaurants, order taxis and offer a wealth of information on where to go and what to see both in Torquay and also in the surrounding area.

Glendower is a comfortable guest house situated just a few minutes walk from the seafront. Our lovely accommodation is set in a Georgian property which was originally built as two residential villas in 1907. The 800 year old Torre Abbey is just a few minutes walk away and we are also close to the train station at Torquay. Our 14 rooms include single, standard double, twin or superior doubles and family rooms over two floors, the ground and first floor.

We have fourteen rooms of various sizes all with good quality linen, thick mattress toppers and blackout curtains, perfect for a good night's sleep.

Guests are most welcome to use the bar and lounge area where a great selection of wines, spirits and local beers are available. This is a great place to relax after a hard day and enjoy a refreshing drink with friends, fellow guests or your hosts.  Alternatively you can choose from many of the restaurants and cafes that Torbay has to offer.
