The Cimon offers a refreshing take on Torquay guest‑house hospitality — relaxed, spacious and genuinely welcoming, all set within a beautifully restored 1860s Victorian villa. With its blend of period character and modern comfort, it’s a place where guests instantly feel at ease.
Families, couples and solo travellers love the freedom of our large free on‑site car park, complete with an EV charger, making arrivals smooth and stress‑free. Inside, the atmosphere is calm and easygoing, with two comfortable lounges and a licensed residents’ bar that gives the property a sociable, grown‑up edge without losing its family‑friendly feel.
Outside is where The Cimon really stands out. Our 30‑foot heated outdoor pool (open May–September) is a rare treat in Torquay — a south‑facing suntrap surrounded by palms, two spacious terraces, loungers and complimentary towels. It’s a favourite with families looking for safe, easy fun, and with adults who simply want to stretch out and soak up the English Riviera sunshine.
Our rooms are designed with comfort in mind, offering a range of sizes for families, couples and solo travellers. Every room includes an en‑suite, flat‑screen TV, refreshment tray and small fridge (except our Compact Double). For something special, our sea‑view rooms deliver sweeping south‑facing vistas across Torbay to Paignton and Brixham — the kind of view that makes mornings feel like a holiday in themselves.

- In town/city centre - Location is one of The Cimon’s biggest strengths. Torquay’s sandy beach, Torre Abbey and the Riviera International Conference Centre are all just a five‑minute walk away. Another short stroll brings you to the promenade, Princess Theatre, independent shops and the Marina, home to everything from classic fish and chips to Michelin‑star dining. The Agatha Christie Mile, the South West Coast Path and many of the English Riviera’s top attractions are close by, with excellent transport links — buses, ferries and two nearby train stations — making it easy to explore without the car.
