Newton House B&B guesthouse is an attractive, detached, Tudor style house situated opposite the Torre (Torquay) Railway Station, on the main road into Torquay from Exeter. It comprises 9 fully equipped en suite luxury bedrooms. Newton house is a warm, friendly, family-run guesthouse with a peaceful, non-smoking environment enjoyed by our many returning guests. The AA has awarded Newton House four stars for the high quality of food, accommodation, decor, comfort and cleanliness.
We serve delicious, wholesome, full English breakfast (as big or small as you like) and for evening meals there are good restaurants nearby, catering for wide tastes.
The shops, town centre and amenities are very near. Torre Abbey and the seafront are only a short walking distance (4 minutes by car). Torbay Hospital is also within walking distance (4 minutes by car/bus). You can catch a bus from right outside, at 10 minute intervals - very convenient for Torquay centre, Paignton, Brixham, Newton Abbot and Exeter. Torquay coach station ( Lymington Road) is only 6 minutes away on foot (1 minute by car). Torquay (Torre) National railway station is almost opposite Newton House (1 minute away) trains from there join the Inter City Express at Newton Abbot.
Our large car park is monitored and recorded 24hrs by CCTV and is free of charge to all residents. Cyclists may lock their cycles and gear in our locked yard, overseen by the owners accommodation. By arrangement clothes can be dried in a locked hot-room, so walkers can enjoy some of the best scenery in Devon with peace of mind.
The English Riviera (Torbay) contains some of the finest beaches and sunniest weather in the British Isles and it is generally warmer than the rest of Britain in Winter. Swimming and surfing are popular here all year round, as are hiking, cycling, golfing, horse-racing, dog racing, go-karting and many more sports. The area around Torbay contains quaint villages, spectacular scenery and areas of outstanding natural beauty such as Dartmoor, all close to Newton House.
Our regular guests have fallen in love with Newton House and they return frequently, some for more than 15 years! You can sample the unforgettable Newton House hospitality at moderate rates by coming off-peak when we offer mid-week specials and weekly terms.

From M5 junction 31 Leave M5 (southbound) at J31 (Exeter) and take A380 to Torquay (about 20 miles). Follow A380 past Newton Abbot roundabout, through Kingkerswell (Newton Road), to the roundabout junction for Hamlin Way and Riviera Way, Continue on Riviera way (Newton Road) until you see Torre Railway station and Halfords store on the right. At the station filter left at the traffic lights and Newton House is 30 yards on the left (the first guesthouse).
From Torre/TorquayWe are opposite Torre railway station. Cross Newton road and Newton House is the first guesthouse you come to.
