About

All bookings are flexible and may be cancelled up to 3 days before arrival date – No pre-payment or deposit required.

Crofton House Hotel is an exclusive, adult only boutique hotel set in an elegant 1850’s villa in a central and idyllic location in Torquay. Guests, 18 years and over, can enjoy a warm welcome and a relaxing environment.  We offer a range of high quality, en-suite guest rooms and suites, some with incredible sea and garden views.  Our website details our COVID-19 guidelines and procedures and we request all guests to read before booking.

Guests can benefit from the tranquil setting and the widest range of leisure amenities for a hotel of our size. Enjoy a dip in the seasonal outdoor pool, unwind in the heated indoor pool, and feel re-energised in the hot tub, jacuzzi, sauna and steam facilities. (COVID restrictions may apply)

Our ‘cooked to order’ breakfast bites are available from 0815hrs am to 10am each day in the ‘Sea Lounge’ at designated times to ensure social distancing. Guests can choose from an extensive selection of cereals, fruits and yoghurts, tea, coffee and orange or apple juice. Our cooked breakfasts, The Full Crofton are prepared to order and include many locally sourced ingredients, giving you a true taste of the South West. The Crofton Continental consists of a platter of cold meats, cheeses and croissants. We aim to please and can accommodate guests with special dietary requirements, food allergies and intolerances. Please let the staff know when you place your order at meal times.

We also offer ‘all day’ menus, from 1130hrs  to 1930hrs with mouth-watering light bites and extra bite homemade dishes as well as three course meal options, all served in the ‘Sea Lounge’ dining room which opens onto our delightful sun terrace. The friendly lounge bar is a great place to meet family, friends and colleagues for an early evening drink or sundowner. (COVID restrictions may apply) Other leisure facilities include a pool table, darts, board games and books which guests can enjoy during their stay with us. (COVID restrictions may apply) Take a stroll in our mature garden which has a private gate leading to ‘Croft Meadow’ and onwards to Torquay sea front for shopping, bars, attractions and local amenities.

We are unable to accept visitors with pets however we can accommodate guide dogs at no extra charge. Please let us know at the time of making your booking. We can also assist visitors in hiring additional equipment (such as mobility scooters) that may be needed during their stay and can store and refrigerate prescribed medication, upon request. Please note that for guests with limited mobility or wheelchair users there is no lift access to the rooms and suites, and there are some steps inside the building.

Located in Croft Road, we are ideally placed to explore the English Riviera, one of the UK’s top holiday destinations. Renowned for its iconic palm trees, Mediterranean-style atmosphere and mild climate, this award-winning resort has plenty to offer. There are 20 beaches, 10 of which have received the prestigious Blue Flag awards and the 22-mile coastline forms part of the famous South West Coast Path and offers thrilling and picturesque views and walks. The neighbouring towns of Paignton (3 miles) and Brixham (8.2 miles) are within easy reach by car, bus and passenger ferry service.

If you enjoy a spot of soft adventure there’s plenty of outdoor activity to try including Coasteering, Paddle boarding and Kayaking, amidst a unique setting and inspiring backdrop. The English Riviera’s outstanding landscape which includes Devonian limestone headlands and the vivid red Permian cliffs, has been internationally acknowledged as an area of geological significance and has been awarded UNESCO Global Geopark status.  One of only 7 geoparks in the UK and 140 in the world, the English Riviera is one of Earth’s extraordinary places. The gateway sites to the Geopark are at Berry Head National Nature Reserve, Brixham (12 miles); Seashore Centre, Goodrington (4 miles) and Kents Cavern, Torquay (2.1 miles) are definitely worth a visit and will tell you more about this fascinating area.

We look forward to welcoming you to Crofton House Hotel soon.
