Situated in a pleasant tree-lined road, Buckingham Lodge is only a short walk to Torre Abbey Sands, Torquay marina and harbourside. It is also very convenient for all local attractions including Princess Theatre (3 miles) and the main shopping area in the town centre (0.8 miles).

Our stylish and quality bed and breakfast accommodation provides a cosy and friendly environment, a comfortable licensed bar and guest bedrooms with modern en-suite facilities.  We offer our guests an individual service to meet your needs.  For visitors wishing to bring along their four-legged friends, we welcome well-behaved small to medium sized dogs.

We are able to host groups of up to 17 people in our twin, family and double rooms. Please note that we are unable to accept stag or hen party groups.

Buckingham Lodge has a range of guest rooms available including Family, Twin, Double and Superking.  Each room has complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits; a hairdryer, make up mirror and flatscreen TV with Freeview. 

We supply a freshly cooked English breakfast with a vegetarian and gluten-free option available each day using locally sourced products whenever possible. If you have any dietary requirements please let us know at time of booking. We can also provide an early breakfast if you are visiting the area on business.

Buckingham Lodge is close to Torquay Railway Station (0.4 miles), Torre Railway Station (0.6 miles) and Lymington Road Coach Station (0.7 miles) for guests travelling to the area by train or coach.  The area has excellent public transport services and there are frequent bus services running between the 3 main towns of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. We can assist with making taxi bookings and can arrange a collection and delivery service between Buckingham Lodge and Torquay Railway Station.  Located on Falkland Road, there is a bus stop where you can catch the No.32 Stagecoach bus service to Torquay harbourside. There is some free parking onsite for cars or motorbikes as well as opposite on the main road. 

Torquay harbour is nearby for a wealth of popular bars, clubs, cocktail bars, fine dining restaurants and waterfront cafes. The area is known as England’s Seafood Coast for the finest quality seafood landed at the fishing harbour in Brixham (7.8 miles). We can make dinner reservations to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

The Naturally Inspiring English Riviera has 22 miles of beautiful coastline running from Babbacombe in Torquay to Berry Head in Brixham. The coastline includes the famous South West Coast Path, a popular walking route for visitors and locals.  If you choose to walk the footpath, we can provide you with a packed lunch to enjoy some alfresco dining and breath-taking views along the way. 

There are many family-friendly attractions within the area including  Paignton Zoo; Kents Cavern prehistoric caves, Golden Hind Museum Ship and Babbacombe Model Village.

There are several museums to suit all ages and interests including Torquay Museum, home to the UK’s only Agatha Christie gallery and Torre Abbey Museum, an ancient scheduled monument and monastery.  

The English Riviera’s beautiful landscape is perfect for outdoor activities with coasteering, sea kayaking, sailing, fishing and paddle-boarding.  Take a trip on the Western Lady, a passenger ferry service running between Torquay and Brixham or board a heritage steam train from Paignton station, passing Goodrington and Broadsands beaches.
