The English Riviera is a stretch of coastline along the south coast of England. It's a land of lush greenery, rocky cliffs, and some truly spectacular beaches—and we've got a ton of exciting events coming up that are going to make your visit one to remember!

Named England’s Seafood Coast for good reason, the English Riviera is home to the UK’s finest seafood and the world-famous Brixham Fish Market, where some of the nation’s best chefs source their seafood. The Fish Market is the beating heart of England’s Seafood Coast. Each year over £40million worth of fish is landed, making Brixham the biggest fishing port in England by value. The day’s catch is sold in the only live fish auction in the UK, and you can take a unique early morning tour to watch the auction and learn more about the fish that lands on your plate (booking in advance is essential for this hugely popular tour).

In September every year, England's Seafood Coast will play host to a feast for all the senses. We are delighted to welcome England’s Seafood FEAST back this Autumn with our official dates confirmed as Friday 30th September - Sunday 9th October 2022. For 2 weeks you will be able to immerse yourself some of the best seafood in the world. This isn't a conventional festival with a big marquee - instead you can enjoy a whole range of things to eat and do at venues across Brixham, Paignton and Torquay.

There's no better time to visit the English Riviera than during our annual Seafood Feast. This celebration of all things seafood is a highlight of our calendar, and it celebrates everything from locally caught fish and shellfish to ales and beers brewed with locally grown ingredients.

From freshly caught seafood to our award-winning local ales, discover foodie delights from across the region at one of the many food and drink festivals in the Bay. Check out our calendar to see what’s on throughout the year.

English Riviera Airshow

The English Riviera Airshow returns to Paignton seafront Friday 4th to Sunday 6th June, with tens of thousands of visitors expected to flock to Torbay for one of the region’s most spectacular weekends of the year. This year’s event promises a thrilling three-day programme, featuring a breathtaking line-up of world-class flying displays and a wide range of on-the-ground entertainment. With so much going on throughout the weekend and large crowds expected, people are encouraged to plan ahead so they can fully experience everything on offer and make the most of the celebration. The English Riviera Airshow is a collaborative effort supported by Torbay Council, the English Riviera BID Company, local businesses and organisations

International Agatha Christie Festival

Agatha Christie is Torquay's most well-known resident and the best selling author of all time. Every year Torquay celebrates the life and work of its most famous resident with a Festival, supported by the Arts Council of England, and this year is no exception. Over 10 days, packed with expert speakers and other features, the International Agatha Christie Festival will celebrate Agatha Christie and her astonishingly rich and diverse legacy.
