What's On in Paignton

Paignton is the Bay's family resort and as such, has a packed programme of fun events and festivities taking place around the town's parks, beaches and harbour. Paignton Green is booked out almost every week of the summer with popular events including Children's Week, English Riviera Airshow, and Anderton and Rowland Funfair.

Torbay Children's Week

The UK's longest running children's festival takes place every August, featuring a dazzling range of activities, workshops, entertainers, clowns, fun, games and familiar faces from children's books, films and TV. Most of the activities are free and perfect for big kids and little kids alike.

The English Riviera Airshow

The English Riviera Airshow is a weekend of breath-taking aerial display over the natural grandstand of South Devon's beautiful bay. Taking place at the start of June, the event is usually well supported by the RAF including the Red Arrows, as well as top civilian displays. Events are centred around Paignton Green, with free entertainment for all the family.

On the Right Track

Parkfield near Paignton Green has both a free skate park for youngsters to use and is also home to Torbay BMX Club, with an impressive track. Meanwhile, Torbay Leisure Centre offers a fantastic swimming pool, sports hall and all-weather pitches, as well as a 1.5 km circuit velopark, with bike hire available.

Other Festival Fun

There are whole host of other exciting events taking place across the Bay including the Marldon Apple Pie Fair, the Big Seaside Family Fun Day down at Goodrington (supporting Rowcroft Hospice) and the Rotary Club Family Fun Day in Preston. Visit our main events page for more information.
