Opting for a takeout is the easy way to enjoy your meal with a view without busting the budget. It’s convenient too when you’re busy out and about, letting you enjoy your meal on the go with no need to stop. In Torbay our fast food and takeaways come in all shapes and sizes to suit every taste. You’ll find all the big-name family favourites as well as more quirky takes on fast food, often made from the highest quality local produce.

Traditional fish and chips Seafood Coast style

Experience Britain’s favourite fish and chips takeaway Seafood Coast style. With Brixham Fish Market at the south end of Torbay and supplying many of our chip shops, you can enjoy the very freshest catch of the day. Try Rockfish Brixham takeaway, located beside the Fish Market. There you can choose from the prime of the day’s catch, beautifully battered and served with delicious real potato chips. Then find yourself a seat looking out to the boats bobbing along on the sea – you simply couldn’t ask for a better view.

Handy beachside kiosks

It’s very easy to spend a whole day (every day) at the beaches in Torbay. With soft sand that’s perfect for sandcastles, a gently shelving sea, and rockpools on many of our beaches, your little ones will be happily entertained. If you’ve not come to the beach ready prepared for lunch, don’t panic. Many, including Goodrington Sands, Broadsands, Paignton Beach, and Torquay Seafront, have handy beachside kiosks. These serve lunches and snacks, so you won’t have to drag the kids away when they want to play. And as no seaside holiday would be complete without an ice cream, don’t forget to save some room for a cone or two of your favourite flavours.

Be prepared for a day out and about exploring

There are lots of places to explore across Torbay. And with boats, buses, and trains there’s no shortage of transport. Eat on the go when you grab a takeaway before you set off. On Fleet Street in Torquay you’ll find The Really Good Sandwich Company. Try one of their freshly made rolls or sandwiches, perfect for you to take out and about on a day exploring. Or pop into one of our numerous cafes for a Devon-made pasty or a sausage roll fresh from the oven for a hearty lunch or tea.

Refuelling after a night on the town

Partying is big in Torquay. After dancing the night away you may be in need of a quick refuel. You’ll find plenty of takeaways in Torquay and Paignton open into the small hours to help satisfy your hunger. Look along the main drags to choose from everything from kebabs to burgers.
