Take in the stunning sea views on Christmas Day from On The Rocks, an independently owned restaurant situated in the heart of Torquay’s popular Abbey Sands district. There’s a mouthwatering menu on offer which includes Mulled Wine or Warmed Spiced Cider on arrival. A choice of 4 starters such as Roasted Parsnip Soup, Crispy Bacon and Focaccia and sumptuous main course options of Prosecco Poached Devon Turkey, Roasted West Country Lamb Rump and Homemade Christmas Spiced Nut Roast or Wild Mushroom Orecchiette for the non-meat eaters. All main courses come with the seasonal favourites: Roasted potatoes, spiced red cabbage, sprouts, pigs in blankets and homemade gravy. Finish off your delicious dining experience with a choice of desserts including Chocolate Delice with Hazelnut or Christmas Pudding and Gelato, with tea or coffee and mince pies and cream. On The Rocks also offers Christmas Day Little Ones and Kids menus. Pre ordering is required.

Choose the Harvester in Paignton if you’re looking for a venue that’s close to the beach for that post-lunch seaside stroll. This popular family-friendly diner is offering a fantastic 4 course traditional Christmas Day menu for £44.99. Starter choices include British Duck Liver and Sloe Gin Pate or a Festive Seafood Trio, followed by main course options such as The Harvester’s Turkey, Sirloin Steak and Rib Combo or vegan friendly, Root Vegetable, cranberry and Apricot Bake. Dessert options include White Chocolate and Passionfruit Cheesecake or a Salted Caramel Profiteroles Sundae. A £10 per person deposit is required when making the booking. A Boxing Day menu is also available.

In the delightful village of Galmpton, the Manor Inn is offering a festive feast with delicious home cooked meals served in a cosy setting with an open fire. The only independent village pub on the English Riviera, you’ll find tempting menu options with starters such as Crayfish & crab cocktail with a tangy horseradish cream, Melba toast and a creamy avocado puree or Toasted malt loaf with pressed ham and chicken terrine and a spiced apple and cranberry compote. There are 4 traditional yuletide main meal offerings including Butter roasted turkey breast with rosemary and thyme, smoked bacon wrapped chipolata, hazelnut, pancetta & orange stuffing and pan gravy.  There’s plenty of hearty portions with Roast potatoes, sprouts with ginger and orange, spiced red cabbage and roasted root vegetables with pomegranate molasses. Delicious puddings such as homemade Christmas pudding with brandy sauce, Butterscotch Banoffee tart with salted caramel and butterscotch mousse or Boozy brownie trifle will be hard to resist.

Set in a spectacular grade II listed building on Brixham harbourside, The Old Market House offers a unique Christmas Day dining experience. The three course meal begins with some festive cheer and a welcome glass of sparkling prosecco.

There’s plenty of fish dishes available including the Starter option of Lemon Sole Fillet and Garlic samphire, lemon & chilli butter and from the Main course selection, Pan Seared Bass Fillets with delicious saffron potatoes, garlic wilted spinach, basil & cream sauce.

Finish off with a savoury course of Stilton, Cheddar & Brie Cheese, biscuits and Cornish Korev lager chutney.

The Drum Inn in the quaint village of Cockington, Torquay is offering a 3 course Christmas Day menu with all the trimmings. Relax in this countryside pub, oozing plenty of rural charm, rustic character and cosy festive feel. With wholesome festive dishes including Parma ham with honey & rosemary-roasted pear served with soft goats cheese and a sprinkling of roasted seeds and dried cranberries for starters, Roasted rack of lamb served with roasted red pepper, asparagus, red onions and spinach, with dauphinoise potatoes and a rosemary & honey jus for your main course and everybody’s favourite Christmas pudding with mixed vine fruits and almonds served warm with brandy sauce, you’ll be filled with seasonal merriment.
