After Dark

By day the English Riviera, South Devon’s beautiful bay, is a bustling centre for tourists enjoying beaches or checking out some of the many attractions on offer. However, by night, the holiday atmosphere doesn’t end - there are plenty of ways to enjoy yourselves once the sun has gone to bed.

Clubs and more

Nights out in Torquay can be chilled out or a non-stop party. There are plenty of popular bars and nightclubs to choose from, and in the summer you’ll even find party boats. However, if all that sounds like too much hard work, there are plenty of other places to check out. The Princess Theatre presents a variety of shows throughout the year, from big-name comedians and tribute acts to opera and West End musicals. Alternatively, you could roll the dice at one of Torquay’s casinos or catch some live music in one of the local venues.

Like Torquay, Paignton has its own array of pubs and clubs, but also acts as home to the Palace Avenue Theatre, which offers fantastic evenings out for all the family.

Babbacombe also has its own theatre, presenting variety shows throughout the year, as well as great eating out options.

Good Times and Ghosts

Brixham has plenty of characterful pubs, many of which have associations with pirates, smugglers and even ghosts. A Ghost Walk from the harbour front will take you on a trip through Brixham’s dark history, a brilliant way to spend an evening.
