Pubs & Nightclubs

The English Riviera has plenty of trendy clubs and a huge range of friendly pubs offering fine dining and family-friendly pub fare, from the good old British pint in one of its authentic real ale bars to a fizzy, fruity cocktail.

The Best of British

For a traditional pub perfect for a meal and a pint, the English Riviera's got friendly little locals at every street corner. Fancy a bite in the familiar surroundings of Wetherspoons at the Green Ginger and London Inn, or a family-friendly Harvester? We’ve got the lot.

If you're in Paignton you'll love the Grand Central or cosy little Pier Inn, while Brixham boasts the historic Blue Anchor complete with real cask ales pulled by hand, and the Port and Starboard restaurant, famed for delicious local seafood and pub classics. Head for the dog-friendly Cary Arms in Babbacombe if you can't leave your faithful friend behind, or go upmarket and opt for Torquay's beautiful Pavilion, a perfect blend of modern and historical, piano bar and plasma screens.

For those who fancy something stronger, the English Riviera, South Devon's beautiful bay, has plenty of clubs to choose from. Start off with classy Café Mambo for panoramic harbour views and cocktails on the balcony, before hitting vibrant nightclub Venue for some potent house cocktails. Get on the dancefloor at Bohemia, and round the night off with a singsong and shots at Banx, a karaoke bar with real attitude. There’s so much nightlife, you’ll be spoilt for choice!
