The Great English Riviera Santa Run
Paignton Green
Sunday 14 December. 11.00am
"You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I'm telling you why, because Santa Claus (and 1000's of friends) are coming to town!"
Christmas is returning to the English Riviera, as is the hugely popular annual Santa Run, this time through the town of Paignton. Red is certainly this season's colour as hundreds of people don Santa suits and walk, jog or run the 1.2 miles (2km) course, raising money for "When you Wish Upon A Star".
Entry is £10 for adults and just £5 for Santa's Little Helpers (up to 12 years old) and includes a Santa suit for you to keep, or a special Christmas hat for the kids. All competitors will also receive a medal when they complete the course. For those participating in the race - it will pay to keep your Santa suits on as there will be a whole host of special offers around the town. More details available soon......
Palm FM will be broadcasting live on Paignton Green and will include a warm up session with DJs Colin Leslie and Dom Harner.
Last year over 800 people took part and raised a grand total £13,006 for the charity "When You Wish Upon A Star". This year we are hoping to smash the number of entrants as well as the total amount of money raised. With your help we can help make dreams come true for children with life threatening illnesses from around the UK, including the West Country.
