Exeter

Exeter Cathedral

Built during the 12th Century, the city’s main historic landmark is Exeter Cathedral. One of the most frequently visited tourist attractions in South Devon, the cathedral boasts the longest uninterrupted medieval gothic vaulting in the world. While exploring the history and architecture of the city, make sure you also visit the underground passages - a labyrinth of medieval passageways under Exeter High Street.

All through the summer Exeter is full of festivities. Starting with the Food and Drink Festival in early spring, the city carries on partying throughout the summer months with music, arts and theatre events and craft festivals.

Crealy Adventure Park

Just a couple of miles out from Exeter city centre, kids will love Crealy Adventure Park. The largest park of its kind in the south west of England, Crealy features a great range of indoor and outdoor family attractions including go-karts, pirate-themed rides, ‘the Magical Kingdom’, and loads of friendly animals.

If you’re staying on the English Riviera make room for a visit to Exeter – it’s a great day out only 30 minutes drive from South Devon’s beautiful bay.
