Visitor Information Service
Here in the English Riviera there’s a lot to do and see besides just laying on the beach (though this is of course always an option). To help you make the most of your stay there are a number of places where you can go to get more information on the local attractions and more.
The English Riviera, South Devon’s beautiful bay, receives millions of visitors every year, and we’re the fourth largest resort in the country, so you could say we’re used to a visitor or two. We try to make it as easy as possible for people to enjoy their stay, so you’ll find our main Visitor Information Centre in Torquay and user friendly Visitor Information Points in Paignton and Brixham
Everything you need to know, in convenient locations
Our main information centre is open normal office hours, rising to seven days a week during the peak summer months. As well as picking up numerous brochures, maps and guidebooks about the area, you can also book tickets for local excursions and boat trips, theatres, or buy car parking permits, bus tickets (day, week, or month tickets available) and National Express coach tickets.
Of course, you’ll also find real people to talk to there who are knowledgeable and passionate about the area and may be able to help you discover a side of South Devon that you might not have found yourself.
If you haven’t yet sorted out where you’re staying, they can also assist you with accommodation booking, whether you’re looking for a hotel, Guest accommodation, a self catering apartment, or a holiday park
