Things to Do
As the Best of British seaside destinations, with a remarkable cultural and literary heritage, stunning landscape, iconic landmarks and more attractions than any other UK coastal resort, the English Riviera is regularly a location of choice for national and international media. From Fawlty Towers to the oldest human jawbone, together with boutique accommodation, Michelin-star restaurants and award-winning beaches, there are plenty of stories to be told.
If you’ve got a particular story in mind, or you’re searching for inspiration, get in touch with our Media Department and we’ll be happy to help. We welcome journalist visits throughout the year and can organise tailor-made itineraries to suit your article. Year-round popular topics include Agatha Christie and the Global Geopark, while we’ve seen recent trends for diving with penguins at Living Coasts.

Film and Television
The English Riviera has been on our screens increasingly over the past few years, most notably in the 2011 production of Fish Town for Sky Atlantic, a series revolving around the fishing port of Brixham. We are a film-friendly destination and will work with production companies and location managers to get the best out of your time here. Recent filming has included advertisements (Tesco), music videos (Metronomy: The Bay), comedy film (The Hunt for Tony Blair) and lifestyle (Location Location Location; Come Dine With Me; Great British Taste Tour).
