About
A one-day workshop exploring the incredible surrounds of Brixham's Art Deco 'Shoalstone Seawater Pool' to create your own unique framed Mermaid painting.
Activity Summary: Plein air painting, sketching, rockpool & geology exploration, cold water swimming
You will spend the morning at the breathtaking location of one of the UK's few remaining tidal pools which will inform and inspire your artwork.
There will be an optional opportunity for anyone who wants to experience cold water swimming to have an invigorating splash in the pool to release those feel-good hormones, improve mental clarity and reduce your stress levels ready for a relaxing afternoon of creativity in Mark's Brixham studio.
Using materials including pencils, pastels and watercolours Mark will guide you to produce your own Shoalstone inspired artwork.
Mark Bell is a painter with a passion for figurative work set in dramatic sea & landscapes. After studying at St Martin's London, Mark then taught life drawing alongside developing his own practice and now runs a very popular life drawing Art Club from his studio/gallery in central Brixham.
