Set in a traditional Victorian villa, The Berburry Hotel provides quality accommodation in a friendly and welcoming setting.

​The Berburry offers 10 bedrooms situated on both the ground and first floors, all individually designed and all rooms have en-suite bathrooms.  We also have a one-bedroom self-catered apartment.

All rooms are equipped with hairdryer, coffee/tea facilities, complimentary toiletries, flat screen tv and access to wifi.

Our location

In a peaceful setting with views over Torre Valley playing fields, the Berburry is ideally located for the main attractions of Torquay.  We are only:

​•  2 minutes walk from Torre Abbey

•  5 minutes walk to the Riviera Conference Centre

•  5 minutes walk to the seafront and the main Torquay beach, Torre Abbey Sands 

•  A relatively flat 15-minute walk to the main harbour area of Torquay.

Torquay provides an ideal base for visiting the South Devon area with areas such as Babbacombe, Brixham, Paignton and Dartmouth within easy travelling distance by car or by public transport.

We are also ideally located for those who enjoy walking, the South West Coastal path is only a few minutes away in either direction and Dartmoor only a short drive away

Parking

Our car park is located off Bath Lane at the rear of the hotel.  Parking is allocated on a first come, first served basis but there is also ample, free parking in the surrounding roads.

Breakfast

We pride ourselves on offering a range of good-quality hot breakfast options, freshly cooked to order and using locally sourced produce.  We also offer cold breakfast options including cereals, fresh fruit and home-made yogurts.  Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten-Free options available.

Bar Lounge

The Berburry is a licensed premises and our bar is open from 12:00 until 23:00 offering a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.  Drinks can be enjoyed in the lounge area, in the gardens or in the privacy of your room if you wish.

Gardens

Our gardens overlook the Torre Valley playing fields.  The perfect spot to relax and enjoy the English Riviera sun and you may even catch a game of cricket on a Saturday afternoon.

Private Functions

Our dining room and bar areas are available to hire for family events, meetings etc during the period between October and March.  Catering and/or a full bar service are available if required and, subject to availability, there is also the option to book bedrooms as part of a package.
