The Barclay Guest House is a Quality 3-Star, Silver award-winning Guesthouse.
We would like to welcome you to The Barclay Guest House - The ‘QC’ guest house - Quirky & Cosy.
Our beds are comfy, our rooms are spacious and en-suite and our breakfasts are home cooked and just right to set you up for the day. We’ve implemented some modern touches to the guest house which we hope you will appreciate and we are continually striving to improve on our green policy.
With free wifi throughout and those little extra’s that make a big difference we hope that you thoroughly enjoy your stay with us.
Our rooms can be reserved with or without breakfast. If you do change your mind when you arrive and decide you fancy a full english then please just let us know.
Check in is anytime between 3:00pm and 7:00pm. Check out is 10:00am. Free parking is available if you book direct with us using our website https://www.barclay-guesthouse.co.uk/book-online.
Payment is due when booking, if you cancel more than 14 days prior to your booking you will be charged for the first night. If you cancel less than 14 days prior to your booking you will be charged the full amount. We highly recommend taking out Travel Insurance to avoid any loss due to a cancellation as a result of unforeseen circumstances.
We would be more than happy if you wanted to stay for longer with us. Stays of 8 days or longer qualify for a discount. Please call or email for a discounted rate.
The minimum stay is 2 nights.
The Barclay Guest House is perfectly positioned - only a 60 meter flat walk to the sea front and it’s numerous attractions including the pier and the famous donkeys! There are plenty of restaurants and shops, bars and even a multiplex cinema all within an easy walk of the Guest House. The Coach, Bus and Train station are also a very short walk from The Barclay and easy to get to. Paignton Zoo is also nearby and offers a great day out for the whole family.
All of our rooms are en-suite with complimentary toiletries, tissues, (Fair trade) tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, flat screen Free-view TV, central heating, and blackout curtains.
Travel cots are available, but please bring your own bedding for them.

We serve breakfast in the diner between 8:00am and 9:00am.
We service our rooms between 10.00am.- 12.00noon.

From M5: A38 Follow signs towards Newton Abbot. At Newton Abbot, go straight across the large, Penn Inn Roundabout. Drive through Kingskerswell, heading towards Torquay; at 1st roundabout turn right onto ring road; at 2nd roundabout turn left towards Preston Sands; follow road to bottom of hill; go straight across at traffic lights to railway arch, under and turn right; follow seafront through Preston to Paignton (0.5 mile); pass the pier on your left, go through pedestrian lights and take 1st right (Beach Road); one way system at top, turn right; right again and Barclay Guest House on the right-hand side.
