About
Children are invited to come and join a FREE workshop to create crowns and flags to come and join in The Queens Platinum Jubilee celebrations at Music on the Meadows (Friday 3 June). They will also have the option of entering their royal creations into a competition run by Torbay Council, that will see them able to go up on the main stage as part of a Platinum Jubilee Parade.
Children will have three options at the workshops:
To create a flag to celebrate the Jubilee, which could be based on the Union Flag (or the flags of any of the home nations).
To create a flag to represent Torbay
To create a commemorative Platinum Jubilee crown.
The workshops are being run by Taleblazers, who will be using waste and recycled materials wherever possible. They will also be providing simplified activities for younger children.
