About
With loads to see and do for young and the not so young – extensive outdoor grounds and over two and half acres under cover - you will enjoy a whole day of fun.
World of Country Life is a family owned visitor attraction in Exmouth, Devon. The park first opened in 1978 and since then has grown and developed over the years, winning a number of awards, to be one of the best family days out in Devon! This year we're celebrating 40 years of family days out!
You can visit the museum stroll down memory lane in our Victorian Street you can pop into the dress shop, game keeper’s cottage, ironmongers, dairy and even the pub! The game keeper’s cottage gives you a real sense of how people used to live – educational fun!
Don’t forget to check out the Hall of Transport - with over 40 vehicles on display it’s one of the best classic car and vintage vehicle collections in the South West. You should be able to pick out the superstar vehicles that have appeared in ITV’s Downton Abbey & Mr Selfridge and BBC’s Parade’s End – toot toot!
Our Exhibition Hall is a fascinating snapshot of rural life, nostalgia, memorabilia, and times gone by.The farming exhibition is packed with an extraordinary collection of farm and agricultural machinery some of which you can see operating. The museum houses a vast array of farming technology from the Victorian to Modern eras.
The children will be kept busy whilst you are here too! With lots to do in all weather inlcuding Go-Karts, soft play areas, the Barnyard Theatre, the animal nursery and crazy golf.
Memory lane appeared on BBC’s The One Show in July 2014 as part of the Sid Valley Memory Café’s “Moments in time” reminiscence project and the Exhibition Hall has proved to make a very popular day out with group travel organisers. More recently, the Exhibition Hall appeared on an episode of Salvage Hunters in May 2017.
There is a daily activity programme which includes a Bird of Prey flying display, Deer train safari, animal racing, animal feeding and lots more!
Take time out for a cuppa and cake or one of our delicious breakfasts, lunches or lighter options in Farmer Lee's Food Barn or if you are too busy enjoying yourselves to stop you can grab hot and cold treats from the Tractor Takeway.
