Red Sails self catering accommodation in Brixham

About Us

Red Sails is a charming 19th century fisherman’s cottage in the heart of Brixham, South Devon offering all year-round self-catering accommodation. Just a short walk to Brixham Harbour and quaint fishing quay, this property has been lovingly restored and has lots of character and is decorated with charming nautical artefacts and furnishings inspired by local coastal views and seascapes.

Brixham self catering with harbour views

This cosy sea-facing cottage has enviable views across Brixham and the entire bay and is a great choice for a family break on the English Riviera. Red Sails is named after the brightly coloured sails of the heritage vessels, The Vigilance and The Pilgrim that can be frequently seen as they sail by heading for the harbour and across Tor Bay.

At the front of the property there are 9 steps with a handrail up to the terrace area as well as a split-level garden and patio with table and chairs and a barbecue set at the rear. All outdoor areas to the property have automatic lighting for safety and to assist you. The parking forecourt is a great addition and can accommodate up to three cars.

Comfortable self catering accommodation in Brixham

Red Sails is spread across two floors with the lounge and dining area, kitchen, WC and a single guest bedroom with an internal window on the ground floor and 3 further bedrooms (2 doubles and a twin room) on the first floor.

The English Riviera is a pet-friendly resort and Red Sails accepts well-behaved medium sized dogs and responsible owners. One dog per stay is permitted and owners must ensure that the child stair gate is used to prevent access to the bedrooms.  Red Sails is a popular choice with families, and a high seat, cot and baby bath is provided free of charge. All linen, bedding and towels are supplied, excluding beach towels.

Located right next to Brixham town centre

Brixham town centre and the bustling harbourside (0.6 miles) has an abundance of friendly pubs, family-run restaurants, award winning cafes and takeaways, all within a few minutes’ walk.  Sample some of the region’s freshest and top-quality seafood, caught in local waters.  For early risers take a tour of the famous Brixham Fish Market (0.4 miles) and see the auctioneers in full swing. Enjoy a leisurely stroll around the quayside and watch one of the largest fishing fleets in the UK offloading their daily catch.

You’ll find plenty to do and easy access to the English Rivera’s many attractions including Berry Head National Nature Reserve (1.8 miles), a gateway site to the UNESCO Global Geopark; Shoalstone Beach, Café and Outdoor Seawater Pool (1.2 miles); Agatha Christie’s holiday home, Greenway at Kingswear (4.3 miles) and Coleton Fishacre (4.9 miles), an arts and craft styled country house and once the home of the D'Oyly Carte family.

Reach Outdoors, a Paignton based outdoor adventure company provides a range of exciting water-based activities at Goodrington Sands, Paignton (4.2 miles) and other picturesque locations in the bay.
