Midway Hotel is a small and friendly, family-run guest house located in Torquay town centre. It is ideal for visiting high-street shops, Torquay seafront, Torquay harbour and marina, and all local entertainment including a cinema, casino and amusement arcades.

Midway Hotel is open all year round, except for Christmas and New Year. There are a number of comfortable and modern en-suite guest bedrooms with tea and coffee-making facilities and ironing facilities. There is a lounge and dining area for guests to use and enjoy.

Midway Guest House offers affordably priced accommodation currently operating on a room only basis. Currently we are adults only.

Guests travelling to the English Riviera by car can use the onsite parking spaces, which must be reserved at the time of booking as we have limited spaces. There is additional pay for parking either available at the nearby council multi storey car park and on street parking with very limited free parking on the adjoining Warren Road. The accommodation is just a short taxi ride from Torquay Rail Station and Torquay Coach Station, and the No 12 bus runs frequently along Torquay Seafront (from Paignton) to Abbey Road with a bus stop near to the Midway Hotel.

The English Riviera is one of the country’s top family-friendly holiday resorts and there are lots of award-winning visitor attractions and fantastic places to eat and drink. Devon’s Beautiful Bay has 22 miles of stunning coastline, which forms part of the famous South West Coast Path for keen walkers and ramblers and a UNESCO designated Global Geopark, one of only 7 sites in the country and 140 in the whole world!  

From long sandy beach walks to quiet picnic spots, charming secret coves to rock pooling and coasteering, you’ll find there’s lots of things to do.  There are 20 incredible sandy beaches with 10 having received the prestigious Blue Flag Award and Keep Britain Tidy’s Seaside Award.  From Midway Hotel you can easily access Torre Abbey Sands (1.4 miles), Meadfoot Beach (1.9 miles) and Babbacombe Beach (2 miles).  The nearby towns of Paignton (3.8 miles) and Brixham (8.7 miles) can be accessed by road or by taking a pleasant 45-minute ferry trip with Western Lady Ferry from Torquay Harbourside to Brixham Harbour. 

The guest house is a 15-minute walk (0.9 miles) of the Green Flag awarded, Princess Gardens and Royal Terrace Gardens, known locally as Rock Walk with picturesque views of the sea and towards Berry Head Nature Reserve in Brixham (9.2 miles). Princess Theatre is also located nearby (1 mile) and is a popular all year-round venue for some night-time live entertainment with a range of high class, West End touring shows, performers and musical acts.  The English Riviera has some of the country’s top visitor attractions including The Real Crime Museum and Escape Rooms (1.4 miles).  Go back in time at Kent's Cavern where you'll discover prehistoric caves, recognised as the oldest human dwelling in Britain in the pleasant, residential district of Wellswood (1.8 miles) in Torquay.
