About Us

16 Moorings Reach is a luxury town house with stunning views over Brixham Marina.

Moorings Reach is a luxury development of apartments and houses situated on Brixham Marina and harbour.  It is the ideal place to relax and watch the boats enter and leave the harbour whilst enjoying the high standard of internal décor throughout.

16 Moorings Reach is a two-bedroom town house set in the second row of properties, affording it a degree of peace and tranquillity whilst retaining the benefits of the wonderful views overlooking the marina and harbour.  Access to the property is via a security gate and there is a designated parking space in front of property and integral garage available for guests arriving in a car or on a motorcycle.  The property has two bathrooms and sleeps up to 4 people.  Please note that we are unable to accept dogs or pets.

The property is a few minutes’ leisurely walk along the water’s edge to Brixham town centre where you will find a range of unique giftshops and art galleries, family-run cafes and shops.  The property is ideally located to access local visitor attractions including the famous Brixham Fish Market (0.3 miles), where you can take an early morning tour and experience the fish auction taking place.  Brixham Heritage Museum (0.5 miles), Golden Hind Museum Ship (0.3 miles) and Berry Head Nature Reserve (1.2 miles) are close by.  If Arts and Culture is your thing, check out National Trust’s Coleton Fishacre (7.1 miles) at Kingswear or Agatha Christie’s holiday home, Greenway house (5.9 miles) on the banks of the River Dart.

Brixham is one of three main towns on the English Riviera with nearby Paignton (7.4 miles) and Torquay (10.2 miles) offering great days out by the sea.  There are 20 outstanding beaches on the English Riviera with 10 receiving top awards including Breakwater Beach, only a few minutes stroll (0.4 miles) from 16 Moorings Reach.  The South West Coast Path runs along 22 miles of coastline through Babbacombe in Torquay, via Paignton to Berry Head at Brixham and beyond.  It’s a popular route with keen walkers, ramblers, photographers and wildlife enthusiasts.

Shoalstone Pool (0.8 miles) is a delightful 53m outdoor seawater swimming pool in a unique coastal location.  It was built in a natural rock pool in Victorian times and is one of only a few lidos remaining in the entire country.  Beside the pool is Shoalstone Beach, a small shingle area.

If you enjoy water sports, the area is known for having a great selection of water-based activities including paddle-boarding, kayaking, coasteering and sailing.  Try a unique experience by taking a trip onboard a heritage sailing vessel with The Vigilance or a tour of The Pilgrim, the oldest surviving trawler built and rigged in Brixham and operated by the Pilgrim Heritage Sailing Foundation.

Choosing good quality, self-catering accommodation gives you the flexibility to eat in or out whenever you like.  Brixham has an abundance of quality cafes, restaurants, takeaways, pubs and inns located around the charming fishing harbourside and the town.  The English Riviera is known as England’s Seafood Coast for the world-class fish landed in Brixham and shipped overseas as well as across the UK.  Taste the finest Brixham Crab, Elberry Cove Mussels or traditional British favourite, fish and chips caught in local waters earlier in the day and served on your plate.  You can’t get much fresher than that!  England’s Seafood FEAST takes place each September with a host of quality eating places offering seafood and fish themed menus.

Brixham hosts an action-packed programme of lively and popular family-friendly events throughout the year including Brixham Pirate Festive, Brixfest and Torbay Steam Fair.  The town is proud of its maritime heritage and there are many pirate-themed shenanigans with Pirate Thursdays including puppet shows, arts and craft workshops and street performers playing live music.

Getting around the area is simple with an excellent Stagecoach South West bus service running frequently between Brixham, Paignton and Torquay.  There’s also a charming steam train trip from Paignton to Kingswear and a regular passenger ferry service running between Brixham and Torquay. There’s so much to see and do that you’ll want to return to this beautiful South West corner of the UK again and again.

We look forward to welcoming you soon.
