Merritt House B&B offers quiet, friendly accommodation, close to Paignton sea front, harbour and town centre. Our aim is to offer you a rather special stay with unrivalled comfort and delicious breakfasts. Enjoy a good night’s sleep in one of our seven comfortable bedrooms, all of which have en-suite shower facilities, TV/DVD, complementary toiletries, fluffy towels, well stocked hospitality tray, alarm clock, fan, ironing facilities in every bedroom, super fast WiFi with good connection throughout the house, blackout curtains and more.

Our breakfasts are highly recommended by all who stay with us; made with local produce, we achieved an AA Breakfast Award for 2020. This coveted award is only presented to establishments serving breakfasts using fresh, local ingredients that exceed the quality requirements of a 4* star rating. Breakfasts include Traditional Full English with delicious local sausages, bacon and free range eggs with Vegetarian and Vegan options, Scrambled eggs & smoked salmon on toasted muffins, Devonshire Hog & Hen, American (bacon & eggs with homemade cinnamon pancakes and maple syrup), Continental and many other lighter options. Gluten free and lactose free options are available on request.

Merritt House is less than five minutes’ level walk to the bus, mainline and steam railway stations in a quiet street off the main roads, and is on the South West Coast Path. Enjoy the Paignton to Dartmouth steam railway, fishing trips, bay cruises, local golf courses, swimming pool/fitness centre, local 'blue flag' beaches, outdoor tennis courts, and local restaurants/pubs. Walkers, cyclists, diving and sailing enthusiasts are welcome to take advantage of our drying room for boots and other wet gear. Merritt House is a great base for enjoying the best of the English Riviera, Paignton, Torquay, Brixham and further afield Dartmoor National Park and south west coastal path. Devon, South West England.
