Cloudlands is the original name of this delightful Victorian villa which was built in 1881 and still maintains many of its original features. Today Cloudlands offers visitors to Torquay the ambience of a Victorian home, and yet at the same time all the amenities of a 4 star guest accommodation. We have nine comfortable en-suite bedrooms to suit most requirements. Choose your own bedroom to suit your requirements and your budget. Whether it's a sea facing superior room with a four poster bed or a ground floor double the choice is yours. Cloudlands caters exclusively for adults - making it the perfect choice for a quiet and relaxing break.
Cloudlands is ideally situated and yet in a peaceful conservation area. We are less than a 5 minute walk to the sea front, Torre Abbey Sands, Kings Bowling Club, and Torquay Promenade; and then a pleasant stroll along the Promenade by Torre Abbey and Gardens, Princess Theatre, and Marina will bring you to the Town Centre and Harbour area within approximately 15 to 20 minutes. We are also well placed for a lovely walk to the famous thatched village of Cockington. For our business guests we are about 10 minutes walk from the Riviera International Conference Centre.
English breakfast is served each morning, in our elegant dining room, between 8.00am and 9.00am. Our comfortable lounge bar is open throughout the day and our well stocked bar is available for the purchase of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages between 5.30pm and 10.45pm. A range of soft drinks, bottled local real ales, lagers, wines and spirits are available. The dining room and lounge bar are both conveniently situated on the ground floor, overlooking our landscaped garden.
Explore Devon from the train, or bus, and leave your car in our private car park - Torquay station and bus routes are less than 5 minutes walk away.
