For the first time ever - and by popular demand - Dartmouth Steam Railway are going to open to the public during the Christmas and New Year break this year. Dartmouth Steam Railway will be running trains every day between 27th and 31st December and a special timetable will be in operation.
The scenery is breathtaking, along the spectacular English Riviera Geopark coast line, to the picturesque station at Churston, then on through the wooded slopes of Long Wood bordering the Dart Estuary to Kingswear. From Dolphins to Seals, Kingfishers to Buzzards, Herons and Egrets, the wildlife is superb. With such a varied range of scenery and wildlife, this is one of the finest heritage steam railway journeys anywhere in Europe.
