Vomero Holiday Apartments in Torquay is a Grade II listed building built in 1838 and has several historic past residents, including Isambard Kingdom Brunel in 1848, and Haile Selassie in 1935 whose families all enjoyed Vomero’s historic grandeur with its impressive sweeping mahogany staircase and stunning stained glass windows.
Vomero is set within an acre of beautiful tiered gardens which our guests have full use of, to enjoy with outside seating, dining areas, sun loungers and guest barbecue. Return to the peace and tranquility of Vomero, it's gardens and the sea views after a busy day out. Six self catering holiday apartments, all of which have a southerly aspect ensuring Vomero is a real sun trap! Upstairs apartments Vomero, Napoli and Genova have private balconies and all enjoy exceptional garden and sea views. Downstairs apartments are Roma and Venezia, our garden apartment Venezia has french doors directly onto a private covered terrace with sunloungers, Roma accesses the grounds via the main front door. New for 2024 luxury adult only accommodation at the top of the house, The Penthouse, offering sensational sea views from private sun deck, luxury bathroom with walk-in shower and bath, fully fitted kitchen and two double bedrooms.
A quiet and secluded base to explore the rest of Torbay, Devon and Cornwall, or just to escape the everyday, relax and unwind.

Located just a short walk away from the town centre, shops, harbour and seafront, Vomero is perfectly located for beach days, meals out, or drinks overlooking the bay. There are many local attractions close by including Kent’s Cavern, Babbacombe Model Village, Bygones and Torquay Museum. Torquay is also lucky to have 3 theatres, including The Princess Theatre often performing shows straight out of the West End and concerts from well known artists.
Great public transport links with buses readily available, local taxis, Torquay and Torre train stations and ferry services across the bay to Paignton, Brixham and Dartmouth. So you can park up at Vomero and leave the car until it’s time yo go home!
Local activities in Torquay include golf at Torquay Golf Club, bowling at Hollywood Bowl, kayak & paddle boarding hire, full leisure facilities including indoor pool at the Riviera leisure centre, lawn bowling, tennis courts, indoor bouldering and climbing, snooker clubs, fishing trips out in the bay, Splashdown waterpark, Torquay Watersports and so much more…

Road Directions
From M5 take A380 and then A3022 towards Torquay. On arrival in Torquay, follow signs for the seafront and not the town centre. When you reach the seafront, turn left and follow the road past the Princess Theatre and harbour on your right. At the clock tower roundabout bear left towards Babbacombe. Stitchill Road is the fifth turning on the left hand side. Vomero is the last house on the left hand side of Stitchill Road. We advise you take the driveway past the `Vomero` sign. www.vomero.co.uk
