Opening (01/01/2011 - 31/12/2012)

Just a mile from Torquay seafront, you'll discover the beautiful thatched village of Cockington, and at its heart 460 acres of beautiful country park.

Step back in time in the Church of St George and Saint Mary (c1069), take a walk around the ornamental lakes, woodlands and formal gardens or, for the adventurous, follow the Murder Mystery Trail.

Relax afterwards in the Tea Rooms at Cockington Court while the kids play on the lawn, delight in the arts and crafts at the Court's Craft Centre, then ride in a horse-drawn carriage though the estate back to the picture-postcard village. A great day out for all the family!

Cockington also features on the Agatha Christie Literary Trail - as a child Agatha would take part in amateur dramatics at Cockington, and she dedicated her book "Why Didn't They Ask Evans?" to Christopher Mallock, one-time owner of Cockington Court.
