Have you ever fancied catching your own dinner and then cooking it? Now's your chance to make like Bear Grylls on this brilliant half day excursion. You'll be taken out sea fishing to catch mackerel in the waters of Tor Bay, then you'll take your haul back to Occombe Farm where you'll cook it up into a rustic feast (with any luck!). To help you out, the sous-chef of Torquay's Michelin-starred Elephant Restaurant will be on hand to give a sea food prep demonstration.
While at sea, you'll be accompanied by a Marine Ranger from the Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust who'll provide an entertaining and perhaps enlightening commentary on the coastal landscape of the English Riviera, its wildlife, its fish stocks and why the area is recognised by UNESCO as a Global Geopark.
Catch and Cook is just one of the Geopark Discovery Packages run by the Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust - also check out Coasteering, Mussels by Moonlight and Canoe the Coves for more memorable experiences.
