Since the 24th August 1921, Torquay's Palace Hotel has been one of the leading hotels in the South West. Today, the Palace Hotel is an independent 4 star hotel beautifully set in 25 acres of magnificent grounds, overlooking Anstey's Cove. The hotel has won an enviable reputation by offering exceptionally high standards and excellent cuisine. The leisure facilities include a superb 9 hole, short, championship golf course, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and tennis courts. Further leisure facilities include squash courts, saunas, snooker rooms and a croquet lawn for the residents' enjoyment.

One of the country's few remaining large independently-owned hotels, the Palace preserves its unique character and charm in an increasingly standardised world. The hotel is situated just one mile from Torquay harbour and offers parking for 130 cars. It is easily accessible by public transport or taxi, and is situated just 1.5 miles from Torquay train station.

Travel left along Torquay seafront. At the Clocktower turn left into Babbacombe Road. After approximately 1 mile you will see the Palace Hotel on the right-hand side.

Public Transport Directions

From Torquay - 1.5 miles
From Torquay railway station, walk to seafront. At bus stop take number 12 bus to the amusement arcades. Then walk along to the strand and take the number 32 or 33 bus asking for the Palace Hotel.
