Green Accommodation and Business

The Green Tourism Business Scheme (GTBS) encourages tourism businesses to be environmentally friendly, whether it be a hotel, bed and breakfast, self-catering establishment or tourist attraction.

The scheme, which has been recently launched across the South West, allows businesses to be rigorously assessed and given a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award, depending on the level of energy-efficiency they achieve.
They are encouraged to introduce measures, which are as diverse as using low-energy light bulbs, recycling paper products, using local produce on menus, or promoting wildlife walks and cycle hire in their area.

By selecting a Green rated business, you are contributing towards supporting and preserving the English Riviera's unique and fragile environment.
