Car Parking for Disabled Drivers
Spaces for disabled drivers are available in most Torbay Council run car parks. Disabled blue badge holders do not currently receive free parking in Car Parks. Torbay Council offers a free yearly disabled parking permit to blue badge holders who are eligible. On Street parking
Disabled blue badge holders are permitted to park on street on a yellow line restriction (providing there is no loading ban in place at the location) for up to 3 hours ensuring that the badge and time clock are displayed correctly and no obstruction is being caused. When parking in a limited waiting bay disabled drivers are able to park for as long as required providing that again the blue badge is displayed correctly. Blue badge holders can park free of charge at street pay and display bays (parking meters) and can stay for an unlimited amount of time.
