The nearest airport to the English Riviera is Exeter International Airport.
Exeter International Airport is today a very busy regional airport offering a choice of over 40 worldwide destinations and home to Flybe who provide an excellent European network of flights direct to Devon and the English Riviera.
It is approximately a 45 minute drive to the English Riviera by car – there are various car hire companies that operate from the Airport.
Getting from the Airport to the towns of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham is also possible by public transport. The Stagecoach number 56 bus goes regularly from the Airport to the Exeter City Centre Bus Station and to Exeter St Davids Railway Station – this takes approximately 20 minutes. From the bus station you can then get the Stagecoach X46 bus direct to Torquay and Paignton which takes 1 hour. Or from Exeter St Davids Railway Station you can take the train to Torquay or Paignton which would take roughly 40 minutes. From both Torquay and Paignton you can then get the number 12 Stagecoach bus on to Brixham.
