Good staff and basic fish and chips for quick meal on arrival to Brixham it would be 3 stars and a half ... fill a hole and that’s what we need.

Since moving to the area 5 years ago my family usually go to Brixham a few times each summer and since finding this gem of a fish and chip restaurant and takeaway in the first year, we stopped going anywhere else in Brixham! A really lovely friendly family run it and do the most perfect fish and chips we have ever found, the food is cooked freshly each time and is great quality. I must also say the place is impeccably clean and we eat in or takeaway with complete confidence. On a sunny day its great to eat when sitting on one of the nearby benches overlooking the harbour! Personally too I think the Golden Fish are much better quality and value than the others including the rather corporate type places that have opened up in the town. I highly recommend The Golden Fish!!

Throughly enjoyed our food at the Golden Fish. We both had cod and chips which were reasonably priced and delicious. The manager (I assume) was friendly and spoke to us afterwards to check we had enjoyed our meal. Takeaway and eat in available (we sat inside to stop the seagulls stealing our food!) The location is great as it is situated right on Brixham harbour. Ice-cream is also served and we had a Mr Whippy as we walked around the harbour. Definitely have fish and chips from here if you're in the area!
