Hesketh Crescent is an elegant Regency crescent above Meadfoot Beach in Torquay. The majority of the crescent is taken up by the Osborne Hotel, which has 2 hotel restaurants: the gourmet Langtry's which combines innovative dishes with tempting regional specialities, and the more informal Brasserie, open for lighter meals, coffee and Devon cream teas.
Agatha Christie was great friends with the Lucy family, who lived in Hesketh Crescent during her youth. In fact, Agatha received a proposal of marriage from Reginald Lucy but turned him down, before marrying Archie Christie.
